About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization seeking Medicaid Enrollment Representative to assist patients with Medicaid enrollment, re-enrollment, and eligibility processes. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping patients navigate healthcare benefits while working in a customer-focused environment.
Job Description:
The Medicaid Enrollment Representative will work directly with patients to assist with Medicaid applications, renewals, and eligibility verification. This role involves a combination of inbound and outbound calls, patient outreach, and occasional in-person assistance to ensure eligible patients receive the benefits available to them.
This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to guide patients through sensitive financial and eligibility discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with Medicaid enrollment, re-enrollment, and renewal processes.
- Conduct outbound outreach to patients whose Medicaid benefits are expiring or require action.
- Handle inbound calls from patients seeking assistance with eligibility or application questions.
- Verify patient demographics and eligibility information, including household size, income, citizenship status, and other required documentation.
- Guide patients through application requirements and assist with resolving enrollment issues.
- Coordinate with Medicaid agencies and patients during three-way calls when additional assistance is needed.
- Document patient interactions accurately and maintain updated records.
- Educate patients on available benefits and encourage enrollment when eligible.
- Follow up on pending applications and renewal requests to ensure timely completion.
Requirements:
- Previous experience with Medicaid, healthcare enrollment, eligibility, patient advocacy, insurance verification, patient access, or related healthcare customer service roles required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound phone calls throughout the day.
- Ability to explain complex information in a clear and compassionate manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately collect and document patient information.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems.
- Experience with Oklahoma Medicaid, eligibility services, public assistance programs, or patient financial services is a plus.
