About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with our client, a well-established law firm, to hire an Assistant Office Manager for their Chicago headquarters. This is a newly created direct hire opportunity offering long-term growth and the chance to work closely with senior leadership in a collaborative office environment. The selected candidate will partner directly with the current Office Manager and play a key role in daily operations, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership position over time.


Job Description:

The Assistant Office Manager will support the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a busy legal office. This individual will work closely with firm leadership to help maintain efficient office operations, support attorneys and staff, and ensure a professional and organized workplace. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily office operations and administrative workflows across the firm

• Assist with maintaining office procedures, policies, and operational standards

• Coordinate onboarding, employee support, scheduling, and general HR-related activities

• Provide administrative support to attorneys and internal staff as needed

• Help maintain a high level of client service and professional communication

• Assist with office technology, legal software systems, and operational processes

• Support billing and administrative documentation processes

• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and client information

• Partner with leadership to ensure a collaborative and efficient office environment


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered

• 3–7 years of office management or administrative leadership experience, ideally within a legal environment

• Familiarity with legal office procedures and terminology

• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and office management systems/software

• Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment

• Professional demeanor with sound judgment and discretion
