Job Description:

Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire an experienced Events & Field Marketing Manager to lead the planning and execution of a large-scale field marketing program across North America. This strategic, hands-on role is responsible for developing event marketing initiatives that generate qualified leads, strengthen brand awareness, and support revenue growth. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment and has a proven background managing complex B2B events from concept through execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of a nationwide portfolio of trade shows, conferences, executive events, and customer programs.
  • Manage multiple events simultaneously, overseeing logistics, booth production, shipping, vendor coordination, and onsite execution.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to establish event goals, measure success, and maximize pipeline generation.
  • Prepare event plans, briefing materials, post-event analysis, and performance reporting for stakeholders.
  • Oversee relationships with external vendors, agencies, contractors, and service providers while negotiating contracts and managing budgets.
  • Coordinate event-related marketing campaigns across email, social media, and digital channels to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal creative, content, and marketing teams to produce event collateral, promotional materials, and branded assets.
  • Manage inventory of trade show displays, promotional items, signage, and marketing materials.
  • Support executive networking events, customer engagement programs, and industry association initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless communication across sales, marketing, finance, legal, and external partners throughout each event lifecycle.

 

Qualifications:

  • 6–8 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or trade show management within a B2B SaaS organization.
  • Demonstrated success managing a high-volume event calendar across multiple cities throughout the year.
  • Experience using event management platforms such as Freeman, Skyline, Veloxity, Eventbrite, Asana, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of CRM and marketing automation platforms, including Salesforce and HubSpot or comparable systems.
  • Experience measuring event ROI through lead generation, pipeline growth, and conversion metrics.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, vendor negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 45% as business needs require.

 

Additional Details:

  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing, industrial technology, supply chain, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives is a plus.
  • Familiarity managing industry associations, memberships, or strategic partnerships is beneficial.
  • This is an individual contributor role with oversight of external contractors during peak event periods.
  • Position requires daily onsite attendance at the Chicago office.
