Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R, bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close.
- Enter and maintain accurate records of invoices and expenses in QuickBooks, ensuring proper coding, documentation, and timely processing.
- Maintain job costing records, track project expenses, monitor budgets, and prepare financial reports to support leadership decision-making.
- Oversee billing processes including progress billing, lien waivers, subcontractor payments, and ensure compliance with industry and tax regulations.
- Prepare, report, and remit sales and use tax filings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of full charge bookkeeping experience, preferably within the construction industry, with strong knowledge of job costing and progress billing.
- Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems (e.g., QuickBooks or similar), with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with internal teams and customers.
