Job Description:
Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client for a Settlement Specialist to support the coordination and execution of settlement-related financial activities. This position works closely with legal and accounting teams to ensure settlement funds are processed accurately, payments are distributed on time, and all related documentation is properly maintained. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and prior experience in legal or financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain tracking processes for settlement approvals and payment status updates
• Monitor and confirm receipt or delivery of disbursed funds
• Maintain organized electronic records of settlement documentation and payment history
• Upload and track required documents in internal systems to support compliance and audit readiness
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding settlement progress and payment timelines
• Identify discrepancies or issues and escalate concerns as needed
• Ensure adherence to company procedures, legal regulations, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1–3+ years of experience with Settlement within legal
• Understanding of settlement procedures and trust accounting practices preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
