Compensation: $38.00–$43.00/hour; converts at approximately $85-90K annually
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Shared Services Accountant to support its Accounting Business Services team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and brings strong experience in reconciliations, journal entries, and subledger accounting. The position will play a key role in supporting month-end close, maintaining accurate financial records, and partnering cross-functionally to resolve transactional issues and improve accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of subledger transactions, including invoicing, cash application, collections accounting, vendor activity, and payment postings
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between subledgers and the general ledger
- Partner with AP, AR, and operations teams to improve transaction accuracy and resolve issues
- Perform variance and flux analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Support audit preparation and provide documentation for internal and external audits
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and workflow standardization
- Assist with system integrations, onboarding activities, and data validation initiatives
- Serve as a key point of contact for accounting-related questions from internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Experience in a multi-entity or shared services environment preferred
- Strong understanding of month-end close and transaction-level accounting processes
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
