Payroll Specialist - Denver, CO (Hybrid)
Salary: $70,000-82,000, DOE
Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).
Responsibilities:
- Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule for multi-state employees.
- Review and validate time and attendance data, resolving discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
- Maintain employee payroll records within the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Reconcile payroll reports, audit payroll data, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, timekeeping, deductions, and related matters.
- Administer wage garnishments and other court-ordered deductions in compliance with applicable regulations, coordinating with third-party vendors as needed.
- Support benefits-related payroll deductions and ensure accurate processing of enrollments and changes.
- Generate regular and ad hoc payroll reports as requested.
- Partner with HR and Finance to support audits, reporting needs, and month-end close processes.
- Monitor payroll data to identify trends, variances (including overtime), and opportunities for process improvement.
- Manage employment verification requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Stay current on payroll regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience
- Experience with UKG required
- Associate's degree in HR, Accounting or related field highly preferred
