Collections Specialist - Denver, CO (in-office)
Hourly pay rate: $23-25/hr + bonuses
Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).
Responsibilities:
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound collection calls to customers regarding overdue payments
- Conduct high-volume outbound dials daily in a metric-driven environment
- Utilize an automated dialer system to manage volume-based outreach and improve account resolution
- Identify and negotiate payment solutions to bring delinquent accounts current
- Guide customers through various stages of delinquency and work accounts toward resolution
- Follow up with customers via email to answer questions and confirm payment arrangements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and account activity
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable collection laws, regulations, and company policies (including FDCPA and FCRA guidelines)
- Meet or exceed individual and team performance goals related to call volume, quality, and account resolution
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a high-volume call environment
- Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to express empathy, patience, and professionalism when discussing sensitive financial matters
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and independently problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to exceed performance goals in a metrics-driven setting
- Proficient in computer applications with strong and accurate data entry skills
- Working knowledge of FDCPA and FCRA compliance practices
- Experience with Salesforce (preferred)
- Experience using a dialer system
