We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Admin to support a busy financial institution in South Bend, IN. This is a fully onsite opportunity supporting payment processing operations and administrative functions within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Sort and organize incoming ATM and ITM deposits from multiple branch locations across the U.S.
- Review and process checks to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
- Follow up on invalid or incomplete checks, including contacting dealerships and other parties for verification.
- Post trustee collection payments received from bankruptcy attorneys.
- Accept, track, and research ATM and ITM deposited checks requiring extraction or return processing.
- Process foreign item checks received from branch locations.
- Research and resolve member inquiries related to mortgage loans, installment loans, and credit card payments.
- Collect, open, verify, and post payments within core lending and payment systems.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal procedures and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of administrative experience within a bank, credit union, or financial services environment required.
- Internship experience within banking or financial services may be considered.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
