POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team supporting a mission-driven organization with a complex
corporate structure. This role offers strong exposure to corporate accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in growing within a dynamic accounting environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations and review cash activity across multiple entities
* Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, and month-end workpapers
* Assist with financial reporting and consolidations for various corporate and subsidiary entities
* Support month-end and quarter-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting
* Review and upload financial data from third-party management groups into the accounting system
* Assist with accounting system enhancements, implementations, and process improvements
* Partner with accounting leadership on special projects, reporting requests, and operational initiatives
* Help maintain accounting procedures, documentation, and internal controls
* Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational teams as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
* 1–3 years of accounting experience in corporate accounting, general ledger, audit, or financial reporting environments
* Strong understanding of reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting processes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting
