Job Description
An Addison Group client is looking for a Staff Accountant!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
- Process journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Prepare financial reports and assist with variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Support process improvements and other special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
