We are seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to support a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, and treasury functions. This is a hands-on role requiring strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, multi-entity experience, and the ability to operate independently in a complex financial environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Manage reporting calendars, deadlines, footnote support, and audit documentation
- Prepare consolidation entries, elimination entries, and intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities
- Identify and resolve intercompany discrepancies and maintain related schedules, policies, and templates
- Research and document complex accounting matters including leases, revenue recognition, debt, equity, and business combinations
- Prepare accounting memos and position papers supporting significant accounting judgments and elections
- Maintain internal controls documentation and support control testing activities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating requests and ensuring timely delivery of supporting documentation
- Support daily cash positioning and maintain short- and medium-term cash forecasts
- Assist with bank reporting, covenant compliance, and lender deliverable preparation
- Maintain detailed debt schedules including principal, interest, rate resets, fees, and hedging activity
Systems: Sage Intacct, Excel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP including technical areas such as ASC 842, ASC 606, and business combinations
- Proven experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting
- Experience supporting external audits and maintaining internal controls documentation
- Familiarity with treasury functions including cash forecasting and debt management
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct and advanced Excel skills
