Location: Ashburn, VA – Onsite
Assignment Type: Temp-to-Permanent
Compensation: $25–$36/hour | $65,000–$80,000 upon conversion
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(K)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts receivable activities
- Complete monthly account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly schedules and sales reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP
- Support journal entries, account analysis, and other general accounting activities
- Assist with financial reporting and accounting-related projects
- Work closely with senior accounting leadership to resolve discrepancies
- Communicate professionally with internal employees, customers, and vendors
- Identify accounting issues or opportunities for process improvement
- Support additional projects and functions across the accounting and finance department as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 2+ years of Staff Accountant or related accounting experience preferred
- Sharp recent Accounting or Finance graduates will also be considered
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- Sage Intacct experience is a plus
- Strong organizational, mathematical, and analytical abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with employees, customers, and vendors
- Quick learner with the ability to work at an above-average pace
- Self-starter who takes ownership of responsibilities and proactively addresses issues
