We are looking for a junior accountant on a contract-to-hire basis.
Job Summary:
Role Overview: We are seeking a Junior Accountant with approximately 2 years of accounting experience to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is looking to continue developing their skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation
- Research and resolve account discrepancies
- Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and account analysis
- Support financial reporting and preparation of accounting schedules
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
- Assist with audit requests and other accounting projects as needed
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Approximately 2+ years of accounting experience
- NetSuite experience heavily preferred
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPS)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
