We are excited to announce that we have expanded our finance & accounting talent solutions practice to Tampa, Florida! We’re thrilled to be in this location and start supporting local employers and helping candidates find their next career opportunity. Anthony is building this initiative alongside our talented finance and accounting Branch Manager, Michael Verga, and the Tampa team. We spoke with Anthony to get his perspectives on the expansion and share a few insights from his career journey.

What are you most excited about with this new expansion of Finance & Accounting Recruitment in Tampa Bay?

One of the most exciting parts of this expansion is the “underdog mentality” that comes with opening an office in a new market. Coming from a Reston team with historic success, I was eager and excited to make a name for Tampa finance and accounting – contract and challenge myself in a new role. I’m particularly excited about developing relationships in the area and surprising our clients with what Addison Group has to offer.

What sets Addison Group’s Finance & Accounting talent recruitment in Tampa Bay apart from other local organizations?

To me, Addison Group does an incredible job of molding young professionals’ careers. From campus recruiting to professional development, I’m incredibly fortunate to have started my career in a proactive and caring environment. Not only does this go for our internal staff, but the level of care I’ve seen from my peers and superiors is something I’ll always carry with me in my business practices.

What is one thing you want your clients and candidates to know about Addison’s culture?

Addison Group takes the term “full-service staffing” to the ultimate level. We listen and understand our clients and candidates and put ethics over compensation 10 times out of 10. Addison Group puts a tremendous amount of time and effort into training and developing our staff so we can successfully serve our clients and candidates. We also pride ourselves on our ethical style of recruiting and truly want to do right by our clients.

What are you most proud of during your journey with Addison Group and how will it help with Finance & Accounting Recruitment in Tampa?

I’m most proud of the trust my leadership gave me. The time, faith, and resources put into my development to lead me to this role is unforgettable and invaluable. I’m also proud I have grown into what I was trusted to do. The Reston leadership team had the structure to enable me to succeed in my position, and I’m excited to replicate that in Tampa.

What drew you to the recruiting industry?

I was drawn to the recruiting industry by my father’s background in sales and my love for helping others. I always thrived in competitive environments, and I enjoy empathizing with the issues of others and finding solutions to help.

Is there a placement that had a lot of meaning for you?

While there isn’t one specific placement that stands out, the feeling of successfully placing a candidate in a role they’re excited about is unmatched. Specifically, the excitement you feel for helping someone make a huge life change and reach their dreams is something I carry with me every day. Also, I love the relationships we establish. We’re not there to place them once in a role; we want to guide their careers and be their go-to resource.

What is the biggest career lesson you’ve learned so far?

The biggest career lesson I have learned is no matter what you are doing, stay persistent. You go through highs and lows, but if you trust what you’re doing and do it passionately, you can’t fail. Success doesn’t come overnight and it doesn’t come from doing the minimum.
