Addison Group
Addison Group Spotlights, Maegan Virgel, Branch Manager of our Dallas and Denver Healthcare practices.

Addison Group is a nationally recognized staffing agency focused on providing exceptional service to clients and candidates. Our passion is providing the right talent to advance your company’s performance and create a best-in-class experience for your workforce.

Maegan Virgel, Dallas and Denver’s Healthcare Solutions Branch Manager, is always ready to help local employers find talent that drives their organization’s business goals.

We spoke with Maegan to get her perspectives on the expansion and share insights from her career journey.

1. You currently lead our Healthcare practice in Dallas and now are adding Denver to your mix. What does this mean for clients and candidates in both Denver and Dallas?

I’m excited to bring the same consistency, collaboration, and industry knowledge we’ve built in Dallas to Denver! For Denver, I’m excited to bring the industry knowledge, established processes, and recruiting strategies we’ve built in Dallas to help grow our presence and strengthen relationships in the market. For Dallas, it creates an opportunity to expand our network, share fresh ideas, and continue improving how we serve our clients and candidates. Across both markets, we can leverage our combined experience to provide better market insights, more creative hiring solutions, and additional career opportunities for candidates.

One of the biggest challenges in both markets is finding experienced candidates willing to work fully onsite. We’re also seeing gaps between compensation and experience expectations. We help clients navigate these trends by sharing real-time market insights, identifying candidates with transferable skills, and finding creative solutions that balance their hiring needs with the talent available.

3. What are the advantages of partnering with Addison Group?

We’re truly relationship-driven. We value transparency, collaboration, and finding long-term solutions, not just filling positions. Our teams spend time getting to know both our clients and candidates, and what they’re looking for, to make a good match. We also consult and coach based on what we’re seeing in the current job market and provide candid communication and constructive feedback. I’m still in touch with candidates I placed 10 years ago who are with the same companies today. That’s what makes this job so rewarding!

4. What got you into staffing, and what keeps you coming back?

I actually fell into staffing by accident! I came to Addison Group as a candidate looking for my first job out of college, and the Branch Manager liked my energy and offered me the receptionist position at our Oklahoma City office. From there, I started recruiting in our HR and Administrative division and moved to Dallas to work on our Healthcare team. Fifteen years later, I’m still here! It’s the people, relationships, and opportunities to grow that have kept me coming back.

5. Tell us a little about Maegan outside of your professional life. How do you spend your time outside of work?

Most of my free time is spent with my husband and kids! We love being outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, and spending time with family. Life with little ones is busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

6. What’s one piece of advice you’d give hiring managers? Job seekers?

  • Hiring Managers: Be open-minded and move quickly! The perfect resume doesn’t always mean the perfect fit. Be realistic about compensation and consider candidates with transferable skills. Quality candidates are not on the market long. If you’re interested, it’s likely that other companies are as well and will be making competing offers. Ask yourself, “Is that second-round interview important enough to risk losing a candidate over? Can we get everyone necessary to meet the candidate within a 48-hour time frame rather than drawing the process out over weeks?”
  • Job Seekers: Be open and honest with your recruiter! We’re on your team and want to be a true partner in your job search. If you don’t have experience in a certain area, don’t feel like you need to talk around it. Be upfront about your skills and experience so we can help find the right opportunity for you. Transparency goes a long way!

She’s passionate about building relationships, developing people, and creating lasting partnerships.
