In this edition of ‘Ask the Expert’, Jonathan Lewyckyj, Nashville Branch Manager, Finance and Accounting shared some of his insights on popular workforce trends. He told us his thoughts on current hiring trends and solutions for filling a permanent role quickly. Read along to learn his top insights.

The main trend we’re seeing right now is that timing truly is everything. Recently, the length and number of interviews have expanded. We’ve seen past markets where a client will interview one or two candidates and make an offer within a week. Now, we’re seeing that expand out to three or sometimes even a four-week process, with multiple steps in between.

We really take a lot of care in establishing solid relationships with both our clients and candidates to try and mitigate the risks associated with a longer process. Because of those deep relationships, we’re able to make sure a client knows exactly where a candidate is in their process and vice versa. Even though the process has been taking longer than usual, our approach at Addison Group leads to more successful searches in an ever-changing market.

What solution is there for a client who needs to fill a permanent role quickly?

If a client has an executive level opening and must hire talent quickly, our Finance and Accounting Contract division (FAC) has the resources and candidate pool to find the right interim solution to solve the immediate challenge. While the contractor is working with them, our Finance and Accounting Direct (FAD) hire team can take the time to find the perfect match to be placed permanently with the company. This approach allows the company to take the appropriate time to go through the interview process without feeling rushed to make an offer.
