We are looking for a senior legal billing specialist on a permanent hire basis.
Job Summary:
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to join a fast-paced, deadline-driven finance team. This role is responsible for managing the full billing lifecycle, ensuring invoices are accurate, compliant with client requirements, and submitted in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and process a high volume of client invoices.
- Edit and update billing records based on stakeholder requests.
- Ensure invoices comply with client billing guidelines and contractual requirements.
- Compile and submit all required supporting documentation with invoices.
- Monitor invoice submissions and resolve billing discrepancies, rejections, reductions, and appeals.
- Respond to billing-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Generate reports and assist with special projects as needed.
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
- Meet established deadlines while managing multiple priorities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience required.
- Experience working with billing software and e-billing platforms preferred.
Technology
- Experience with legal billing systems and electronic billing platforms preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Familiarity with business technology tools and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology and process improvements.
