Our client is a growing healthcare organization that supports patients throughout their treatment journey, particularly those recovering from injuries. They work closely with medical providers and legal teams to ensure patients receive timely care and that all billing processes are handled accurately and efficiently. Due to recent growth, they are expanding their billing team.


Job Description:

Addison Group is seeking a detail-driven Medical Biller/Collector to support our client’s billing operations. This role will handle end-to-end billing and collections, along with payment posting, follow-up, and general administrative support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage billing and collections, including PI and workers’ compensation cases.
  • Communicate with attorney offices, insurance adjusters, bill review teams, and other external partners to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Post payments, process deposits, and update account records accurately.
  • Enter required case information into state reporting systems.
  • Review daily mail and assist with basic administrative tasks as needed.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel) and internal billing systems to maintain organized, up-to-date documentation.
  • Support appeals and follow-ups by reviewing explanation-of-review documents and preparing corrected claims when needed.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial medical billing and collections.
  • Strong understanding of claim lifecycle and follow-up processes.
  • Experience working with PI billing, including clear details on volume and responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with UB-04 and HCFA forms.
  • Ability to review explanations of review and prepare appeals.
  • Solid PC and Microsoft Office skills.
