About the Opportunity
Addison Group is seeking a Medical Assistant on behalf of our client for a direct hire position. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced providers in a fast-paced clinical environment, supporting both patient care and administrative workflows.
The ideal candidate is proactive, patient-focused, and comfortable balancing clinical responsibilities with operational support. Recent graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply, though experienced Medical Assistants are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly alongside the physician in a fast-paced environment to assist with patient examinations, minor procedures, and specialty treatments while maintaining optimal clinic flow.
- Perform real-time medical scribing during provider encounters, accurately documenting clinical notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, and orders into the EMR.
- Room patients efficiently by gathering detailed medical histories, recording vital signs, and performing pre-charting to prepare the provider for seamless appointments.
- Manage comprehensive administrative and clinical follow-up, including specialty medication paperwork, prescription requests, patient messaging, and lab result communications.
- Support high-volume daily operations through rapid exam room turnarounds, inventory upkeep, phlebotomy, and floating between providers or clinic locations as needed.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Direct experience scribing alongside physicians in a high-volume clinical setting.
- Dermatology or aesthetics experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records; experience with ModMed/EMA and real-time medical scribing is a plus.
- Proven ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment alongside attending providers.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is preferred but not required.
