Position: Legal Administrative Assistant

Location: Houston, TX

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $55,000-$65,000 / Year DOE

Schedule: Flexible

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients daily to provide case updates, answer questions, and address inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate settlement disbursement statements.
  • Request, track, and organize settlement statements and supporting documentation for client files.
  • Audit and reconcile case expenses to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper recordkeeping.
  • Monitor the status of case documents and keep the Settlement team informed of items sent, received, and outstanding.
  • Perform data entry, document management, and other administrative tasks to support daily operations.
  • Assist with special projects, process improvements, and additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of administrative experience, preferably in a legal, financial, insurance, collections, or professional office setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and providing excellent client service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
