Job Description:
The Healthcare Verification Specialist will be responsible for verifying patient information, populating forms with this data, and sending it to hospitals. This role involves working with a high volume of patient data to ensure accuracy and timely communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verifying patient information and ensuring its accuracy
- Populating forms with patient details and sending them to hospitals
- Managing a daily volume of 200-300 verifications
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Utilizing software systems such as NextGen and Change Healthcare (training provided)
Qualifications:
- Previous healthcare experience is a plus (e.g., working in healthcare organizations, student loan collections in a healthcare setting)
- Professionalism and a willingness to learn new systems and procedures
- Calm, cool, and collected demeanor, with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Details:
- The work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM for new hires, but can be adjusted to 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- The work environment is newer, with a high-energy atmosphere but not overly hectic
- Transportation by car is required
