Job Description:
Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify a Contracts Specialist to support their internal legal function on a temporary basis. This role will focus on reviewing, analyzing, and managing customer-facing agreements involving sensitive data and emerging AI-related data usage considerations. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in contract analysis, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess contracts and legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Identify key contractual provisions, obligations, deadlines, and potential areas of risk
- Flag legal, operational, or financial concerns and escalate appropriately
- Assist with drafting, revising, and redlining agreements based on guidance from legal leadership
- Track contract status, revisions, approvals, and execution timelines
- Maintain organized and accurate contract files within contract management systems
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive and proprietary information
- Support additional legal projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- 2–4 years of experience in contract review or legal support within a law firm, corporate legal department, or similar environment
- Familiarity with contract compliance and risk identification
- General understanding of AI tools and evolving data usage or privacy regulations
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Additional Details:
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Eligible for overtime at manager discretion
- Hybrid schedule with a preference for some on-site presence
