Our client, a Non-Profit is looking for firms a AR Staff Accountant with 3+ years of experience working out of the Non-Profit Space
The AR Specialist will support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, with primary responsibility for Accounts Receivable. This role is critical to maintaining cash flow discipline, vendor relationships, and clean financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable operating in a structured environment where fundamentals matter.
Requirements
· Non-Profit/Membership experience
· 2-3 years of experience with Reconciliation and Cash flow
· Advanced Excel
· 2+ years of hands-on AR/AP experience
· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Job Description:
· Manage full-cycle AR including invoicing, payment application, and collections
Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due balances in a professional, timely manner
· Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
Maintain accurate customer records and support month-end close activities
· Accounts Payable
· Process vendor invoices with proper coding and approvals
Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (ACH, check, wire)
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
· Maintain vendor files and W-9 documentation
Ensure 1099 reportable amounts are accurately captured in the accounting system
· General Accounting Support
· Assist with month-end close including reconciliations and journal entries
Maintain organized documentation and audit-ready records
Support process improvements while adhering to established controls and procedures
