Job Description:
We are partnering with a growing organization in the Minnetonka area to identify an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a well-rounded role with exposure to both accounts payable and accounts receivable. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices, including coding, approvals, and payment preparation
- Support accounts receivable functions including invoicing, cash application, and payment follow-up
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer records
- Research and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies
- Assist with account and bank reconciliations
- Support month-end close and general accounting activities as needed
- Maintain organized accounting documentation and records
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting transactions
- Assist with additional accounting projects and process improvements as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous accounting experience with exposure to both accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
