Accounting and Tax Associate - Centennial, CO (in-office)
Salary range: $65,000-80,000, based on experience

We are seeking a proactive Accounting and Tax Associate to join our public accounting firm. This role combines tax preparation, financial review, and client relationship management, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review corporate and individual tax workpapers and supporting documentation
- Prepare sales tax returns and assist with federal, state, and local tax compliance
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices by researching issues and preparing resolutions
- Research accounting and tax issues and recommend practical, client-focused solutions
- Perform year-end financial reviews, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and expense analysis
- Complete bank reconciliations and depreciation schedules
- Manage a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional service
- Respond promptly and professionally to client questions and requests
- Support firm leadership with special projects, client needs, and high-priority initiatives
- Balance multiple deadlines while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced public accounting environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and firm leadership across a variety of client engagements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with QuickBooks and strong comfortability with Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formula creation) required
- CPA, or plans to obtain certification preferred
- Prior experience in public accounting or client-facing tax/accounting work preferred
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously
