Job Description
Addison Group is hiring an Account Manager III for our client, a financial services organization specializing in consumer financing. This position will be responsible for managing customer accounts that are in the mid-stage collections process while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and account resolution.
The successful candidate will have several years of collections experience and be comfortable communicating with customers regarding past-due balances, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate account records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned accounts that have progressed into the mid-stage collections cycle, generally between 30 and 60 days past due.
- Make and receive customer calls to discuss outstanding balances and work toward account resolution.
- Engage customers in professional conversations regarding delinquent payments and available repayment options.
- Negotiate appropriate payment arrangements based on customer circumstances and established guidelines.
- Assist customers with questions and account-related concerns, including those whose accounts are current.
- Conduct basic research and skip-tracing activities when customer contact information is unavailable or outdated.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer communications, account activity, and payment arrangements.
- Update account information to support effective collection efforts and successful resolution.
- Follow established collection practices, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Complete required training programs, certifications, and compliance assessments.
- Meet or exceed established performance, productivity, and quality standards.
- Safeguard confidential customer and financial information at all times.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach during all account interactions.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, consumer lending, or a related field.
- Background in automotive claims, auto finance, recreational financing, or another lending environment is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable making a high volume of inbound and outbound collection calls.
- Ability to discuss sensitive financial matters professionally and respectfully.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and data-entry skills.
- Ability to handle confidential customer information with discretion.
- Comfortable working within established compliance guidelines and collection procedures.
- Dependable team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain composed and professional when handling challenging customer interactions.
