As their security program continues to mature, they are seeking a Security Analyst to support both compliance initiatives and daily security operations. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior security leadership while gaining hands-on experience in a growing environment.
Job Description:
The Security Analyst will contribute to governance, risk, and compliance efforts while also assisting with operational security monitoring and response activities. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys balancing documentation, audit support, and technical security operations in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC):
- Support audit readiness efforts by gathering and organizing documentation aligned with compliance frameworks (including SOC 2)
- Complete and review customer security assessments and information requests
- Maintain risk logs and track remediation efforts to ensure visibility and accountability
- Participate in internal risk evaluations and control testing activities
- Assist with maintaining and updating security policies and procedural documentation
Security Operations:
- Review and triage security alerts, escalating issues as appropriate
- Contribute to incident investigations and help document lessons learned
- Support security awareness campaigns, including phishing testing initiatives
- Monitor and report on vulnerability remediation progress
- Help maintain reporting dashboards and operational security metrics
Cloud & Application Security Support:
- Partner with senior team members to review cloud security settings and configurations
- Document technical controls and security processes
- Assist with third-party/vendor risk reviews and assessments
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in information security, IT support, or compliance-related roles
- Understanding of foundational cybersecurity and risk management concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience supporting SOC 2, NIST 800-171, or ISO 27001 compliance initiatives
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Microsoft enterprise environments
- Experience working with SIEM tools, vulnerability management platforms, or phishing simulation tools
- Industry certifications such as Security+
