Job Description:
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating caregiver coverage for a high volume of patients and ensuring schedules remain fully staffed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-volume caseload of approximately 80–120 patient cases.
- Coordinate caregiver schedules, call-outs, replacements, and coverage needs.
- Monitor missed visits and proactively address staffing gaps.
- Maintain accurate patient and scheduling information in internal systems.
- Communicate regularly with patients, caregivers, Case Managers, and insurance partners.
- Assist with insurance authorizations and related administrative processes.
- Respond to patient concerns and escalated situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with other teams to coordinate additional coverage when needed.
- Prioritize urgent patient needs while managing multiple cases simultaneously.
- Adjust to changing priorities and unexpected staffing needs throughout the day.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in staffing coordination, scheduling, customer service, case management, healthcare coordination, patient services, call centers, sales, or a similar phone-intensive role.
- Comfortable spending a significant portion of the day communicating by phone.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple urgent requests and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Empathetic and professional approach to patient and caregiver interactions.
- Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset.
- Experience with insurance companies or authorization processes is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience will be considered in place of education.
