About the Opportunity
Addison Group is seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager on behalf of our client for a direct hire opportunity within a growing healthcare organization. This leadership role will oversee multiple revenue cycle functions, including insurance follow-up, customer service, credits, and administrative support teams. The organization is experiencing significant growth and operational transformation, creating an opportunity for a hands-on leader to drive process improvements, develop team members, and strengthen department performance.
This role is ideal for an experienced revenue cycle professional who combines operational expertise with a collaborative leadership style and a passion for building strong teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and oversight for multiple revenue cycle teams, ensuring operational efficiency and high-quality service delivery
• Monitor key performance indicators, productivity metrics, and department goals to drive performance improvements
• Evaluate existing workflows and implement process enhancements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and reimbursement outcomes
• Support and mentor supervisors, coordinators, and team members through coaching, training, and performance management
• Conduct team meetings, one-on-one discussions, and employee development initiatives
• Assist with staffing efforts, including interviewing, onboarding, and employee retention strategies
• Analyze accounts receivable, collections, billing trends, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional leaders to resolve issues and support organizational initiatives
• Provide hands-on assistance with account resolution and operational challenges when needed
• Prepare reports and present recommendations to leadership regarding performance, workflow improvements, and revenue optimization opportunities
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements, HIPAA regulations, and industry best practices
• Promote a positive, accountable, and service-oriented team culture
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing revenue cycle, billing, accounts receivable, collections, or related healthcare operations
• Strong understanding of the full revenue cycle, including billing, collections, insurance follow-up, customer service, and reimbursement processes
• Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, reporting, and data analysis
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience developing workflows, improving operational processes, and implementing performance improvement initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting multi-specialty physician practices or healthcare service organizations
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar EMR/EHR platforms
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) credential or willingness to obtain certification
• Experience managing customer service or call center teams in a healthcare setting
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and payer requirements
