About The Company:
Addison Group is seeking an Associate Customer Service Representative to join a well-established distribution organization. This position is part of a customer-focused team that works closely with customers, sales representatives, and internal departments to ensure orders are handled accurately and efficiently.
Job Description:
This is a great opportunity for a customer service professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, phone-based environment. The Associate Customer Service Representative will handle incoming customer requests, assist with orders, provide updates on shipments, and help resolve account or product-related issues. The position is contract-to-hire with the opportunity to transition into a long-term role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a steady volume of incoming customer calls and provide professional, solutions-oriented assistance
- Input new orders and make updates to existing orders using an ERP system
- Research order and shipment information and communicate status updates to customers
- Assist customers with questions related to returns, billing, credits, invoices, and account information
- Serve as an initial resource for general product and order inquiries
- Investigate order issues and work toward timely resolutions
- Prepare and process customer documentation, including credit and debit memos
- Assist with occasional credit card transactions and other account-related requests
- Maintain accurate customer records and information across multiple systems
- Consistently meet department service and productivity expectations
- Provide additional administrative and customer support as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of customer service experience within a call center or high-volume phone environment
- Strong retail customer service experience with significant phone interaction will also be considered
- Background in distribution, manufacturing, or another product-focused environment is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Teams
- Previous CRM or ERP experience is a plus
- SAP experience is highly desirable
- Experience using chat-based customer support tools is a plus
- Strong computer skills with the ability to work between multiple applications
Additional Details:
- Hybrid position with remote work on Mondays and Fridays
- Onsite Tuesday through Thursday
- Training will be provided on internal systems, procedures, and products
