About Our Client:
Addison Group is hiring for our client, a well-established organization seeking an experienced Compensation Specialist to support and strengthen its compensation function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong multi-state compensation experience to take ownership of important initiatives, contribute to a company-wide compensation restructuring project, and help improve existing programs and processes.
Job Description:
The Compensation Specialist will oversee key compensation administration activities, including salary structures, market analysis, pay equity, and compensation planning. This individual will work closely with HR leadership, management, payroll, and finance to ensure compensation programs remain competitive, consistent, and compliant across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage compensation programs, salary grades, pay ranges, and related policies.
- Conduct market research, salary benchmarking, and job evaluations to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Analyze company-wide salary data and recommend updates based on market trends and internal equity.
- Support compensation restructuring initiatives, including reviewing and revising existing salary structures.
- Assist with annual merit planning, promotions, salary adjustments, and compensation reviews.
- Partner with HR leadership and managers on job evaluations, workforce planning, and compensation recommendations.
- Review job descriptions to ensure alignment with established compensation structures.
- Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and data analysis for leadership.
- Identify pay equity concerns, salary compression, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate compensation and position information within HRIS and payroll systems.
- Support compensation-related audits, compliance reporting, and multi-state pay transparency requirements.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate processing of salary changes and other compensation updates.
- Develop and maintain compensation procedures, documentation, and reporting processes.
- Research compensation trends and recommend improvements to existing programs and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 4+ years of compensation administration experience.
- Strong background supporting multi-state compensation programs and operations.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and administering salary ranges and pay grades.
- Knowledge of compensation benchmarking, market pricing, and job evaluation methodologies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
Additional Details:
- 100% onsite in Centennial, CO.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM.
