Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Buyer to support day-to-day purchasing operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus on executing purchase orders, tracking order status, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
This position supports a highly collaborative, production-driven facility and requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. There is strong potential for this role to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue and manage purchase orders in a high-volume environment
- Track open purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery
- Monitor incoming shipments and coordinate receipts
- Communicate with internal teams to support purchasing needs and priorities
- Set up new vendors and maintain supplier relationships
- Process purchase requests through internal systems and ensure proper approvals
- Handle ad hoc and non-routine purchasing requests
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of purchasing activity
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in a Buyer or purchasing role
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
- Strong experience issuing and managing purchase orders from start to finish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
- Ability to track and manage open orders with strong follow-through
