Position: Billing & Collections Specialist
Location: Centennial, CO (Hybrid, in-office)
Salary: $55,000-60,000, DOE
Benefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).
The Billing & Collections Specialist is responsible for preparing and submitting invoices, managing payment collection, and ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and submit invoices accurately and within established deadlines
- Ensure all billing documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal processes
- Submit invoices to clients and third-party payers, including all required supporting documentation
- Monitor outstanding balances and provide follow-up documentation as needed to facilitate payment
- Perform collection activities to ensure payments are received in accordance with agreed terms
- Investigate and resolve overdue accounts by identifying issues, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and reissuing invoices when necessary
- Communicate with clients via phone and email to provide account updates and collect outstanding payments
- Proactively address payment denials, analyze trends, and implement process improvements to reduce recurrence
- Track and report on aging accounts, including monitoring late and pending payments

Requirements:
- 2+ years of commercial billing and collections experience
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related highly preferred
