Job Description:

This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced revenue cycle professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The AR Manager – Special Projects / Team Lead will focus primarily on high-level initiatives, process improvements, and leadership support. This individual will work closely with senior leadership while also stepping in to support team management and billing functions as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive special projects across accounts receivable and billing operations, including workflow improvements and efficiency initiatives
  • Provide interim leadership support for team managers during absences or peak periods
  • Monitor AR performance, identify trends, and recommend solutions to enhance reimbursement outcomes
  • Partner with internal teams (coding, compliance, operations) to ensure accurate billing and adherence to regulations
  • Assist with resolving escalated claims and complex payer issues
  • Support enhancements to billing and collections processes in a high-volume, centralized environment
  • Review reports and audits to ensure data accuracy and proper revenue capture
  • Participate in billing activities when project workload allows
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer guidelines, coding standards, and reimbursement practices

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in medical billing, AR, or revenue cycle management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting leadership functions, projects, or team oversight
  • Background in high-volume, multi-site healthcare billing environments
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems (training provided on client system)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines

Preferred:

  • Experience in a specialty or orthopedic practice setting
  • Exposure to project-based work alongside senior leadership
