Our client is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support accounts receivable and credit functions within a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for managing customer accounts, resolving billing issues, and partnering with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. Job Duties:
- Monitor outstanding account balances and follow up on overdue invoices in a timely manner.
- Partner with internal departments to research and resolve billing or account concerns.
- Document all account activity and correspondence thoroughly within internal systems.
- Assist leadership in evaluating customer creditworthiness using available financial data.
- Provide support during reporting cycles, audits, and other departmental initiatives.
- Apply incoming payments accurately across various payment methods and reconcile discrepancies.
- Communicate with customers regarding account status while maintaining a professional and solution-focused approach.
- Review and process customer account setup requests and supporting documentation.
- Maintain compliance-related documentation tied to customer accounts.
- Review and release orders pending internal credit review when appropriate.
- Learn and assist with project-based or specialized billing accounts as needed.
- Review agreements when necessary to support collections or dispute resolution efforts.
- Elevate higher-risk accounts to management for further review.
- Participate in additional finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma required.
- Accounting or Finance Degree is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, or similar finance-related roles.
- Prior experience in an office-based accounting or finance environment preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations and resolve account issues effectively.
