We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join its growing Enterprise Network team. This individual will play a key role in modernizing and expanding our network infrastructure across corporate offices, data centers and maintenance facilities.
This is a highly hands-on position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating at a senior technical level while also working directly with equipment, cabling, implementations, troubleshooting, and onsite infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure across data center, corporate, maintenance, and industrial environments.
- Support wired and wireless networking across geographically distributed facilities.
- Participate in new data center builds and modernization of existing data center network infrastructure.
- Support network design and implementation for new facilities.
- Assist with modernization and redesign of existing network architecture and technologies.
- Support connectivity between the enterprise network, Microsoft Azure, Oracle, internet providers, and other external/cloud environments.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco-based and Arista network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal engineers, infrastructure teams, facilities teams, vendors, and other technical stakeholders.
- Provide senior-level technical guidance and help develop solutions for complex network challenges.
- Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices with other members of the Enterprise Network team.
- Participate directly in onsite implementations, including physical infrastructure work when necessary.
- Support network projects across multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 10 - 15 years of progressive network engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Arista enterprise networking technologies.
- Advanced understanding of enterprise routing and switching.
- Experience supporting data center network environments.
- Strong wired and wireless networking experience.
- Experience designing, implementing, upgrading, and troubleshooting enterprise networks.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across multiple layers of the infrastructure.
- Experience working on major network implementations or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work hands-on at the infrastructure level in addition to performing senior-level engineering and design responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNP certification or equivalent level of knowledge.
- CCIE certification is highly desirable but not required.
- Experience with Arista networking technologies.
- Experience with HPE Aruba networking technologies.
- Working knowledge of Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewalls.
- Experience with ISP, BGP, or cloud on-ramp networking.
- Microsoft Azure networking/connectivity experience.
- Experience supporting Oracle connectivity.
- Experience building or expanding data center networks.
