Addison Group is partnering with a growing organization in the government contracting and technology sector that is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join its Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly contribute across multiple HR functions.
Job Description:
The Senior HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting employee relations, benefits administration, compliance initiatives, employee engagement programs, and various HR operations. This position requires an experienced HR professional who can work independently, communicate effectively with leaders at all levels, and confidently manage a broad range of human resources responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted HR resource for managers and employees regarding workplace issues, performance concerns, and employee relations matters.
- Partner with leadership to provide coaching, guidance, and documentation related to employee performance and development.
- Lead planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives and company-sponsored events.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment activities and collaborate with benefit vendors and brokers.
- Manage HR compliance reporting and assist with affirmative action planning and related initiatives.
- Review and reconcile benefit carrier invoices, including life insurance and other employee benefit programs.
- Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and HR procedures.
- Support retirement plan administration and assist with 401(k) audit activities.
- Develop presentations and communicate HR initiatives to leadership and employee groups.
- Analyze HR data and provide recommendations to support business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- SHRM certification preferred.
- 5-7+ years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience.
- Strong employee relations and benefits administration experience required.
- Prior experience supporting government contracting environments preferred.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms; Paycom experience is a plus.
- Strong presentation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to interact confidently with senior leadership and employees at all levels.
- Self-starter with a proactive, dependable, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working in a highly professional and structured environment.
