Position Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and highly independent Senior Accountant to join an established organization in Tustin, CA. This position will take ownership of day-to-day corporate and general ledger accounting across a complex, multi-entity environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong GL accounting experience, excellent reconciliation skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recurring journal entries and reclassifications.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform bank and cash reconciliations.
- Manage fixed asset accounting.
- Handle lease accounting activities.
- Manage intercompany accounting and transactions across multiple entities.
- Monitor and record cash and banking activity.
- Assist with accounts payable activities, including reimbursements, checks, and ACH payments.
- Ensure accurate project and department coding.
- Research, identify, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Take ownership of assigned accounting functions and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Support the Controller with day-to-day corporate and general ledger accounting activities.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant with strong general ledger expertise.
- Extensive experience performing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong fixed asset accounting experience.
- Lease accounting experience.
- Experience working with a large ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables.
- Highly independent and able to take ownership of work with minimal direction.
- Strong technical accounting skills and sound judgment.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-entity accounting environment.
