Overview:
A life sciences organization is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with strong hands-on Jira experience to lead technical initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment. This person will be responsible for bringing structure to execution, managing project activities and dependencies, and keeping timelines, risks, and progress visible across the team.
The ideal candidate will have a technical foundation from a regulated pharma, biotech, engineering, or systems-oriented setting and be comfortable operating within quality-driven environments, including data integrity expectations and ALCOA-related practices. This role will work closely with engineering, validation, manufacturing, and quality partners to identify issues early, manage constraints, and help keep critical workstreams moving on accelerated timelines.
Core Responsibilities:
· Use Jira to build and manage project workflows, templates, dashboards, and reporting structures; Jira configuration or administration experience is a plus
· Develop and maintain project plans, task dependencies, milestones, and schedule views, including Gantt-style tracking when needed
· Track and communicate project status, risks, blockers, and mitigation actions in a clear and timely way
· Interpret technical inputs such as requirements documents and recognize where supporting specifications or design documentation may be needed
· Drive cross-functional execution, streamline communication, and gather needed information with limited oversight
· Communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders through strong written and verbal updates
Requirements:
· 5+ years of project management experience in pharma, biotech, or another highly regulated environment
· Strong Jira experience required; template-building or admin-level experience preferred
· Good understanding of regulated delivery, data integrity, and ALCOA principles
· Technical background in engineering, computer systems, or a similar discipline preferred
· Experience with MS Project is a plus
· Ability to manage compressed timelines, think critically, and remain composed under pressure
· PMP certification is helpful but not required
