Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join their team in NW Houston. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing and analytical experience, along with hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now. A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, analyzing payroll data, maintaining employee records, and supporting payroll compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and timely using ADP Workforce Now
- Review payroll data for accuracy, including hours, earnings, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments
- Audit payroll reports and identify discrepancies prior to payroll processing
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and process employee changes
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, garnishments, and other adjustments
- Reconcile payroll registers, tax reports, and payroll-related accounts
- Assist with payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare payroll reports and analyze payroll data to identify trends or discrepancies
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation
- Support payroll audits and provide requested documentation
- Partner with HR, Accounting, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information
- Assist with process improvements and payroll-related projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
- 3+ years of payroll experience
- ADP Workforce Now experience required
- Experience with multi-state payroll preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and compliance
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
