About The Company:
An established organization specializing in industrial products and solutions is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join its team. The company serves a variety of industrial markets and values customer satisfaction, product knowledge, teamwork, and professional development.
Job Description:
The Inside Sales Representative will provide exceptional customer support while assisting with sales activities, order management, and account relationships. This individual will work directly with customers to understand their needs, provide product recommendations, prepare quotations, process orders, and coordinate delivery expectations.
The ideal candidate will have previous inside sales experience, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with industrial products and applications. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer accounts and develop positive, long-term business relationships.
- Identify sales opportunities and recommend products that align with customer requirements.
- Provide product information, pricing, and technical assistance to customers.
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, estimates, and sales proposals.
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries through phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Enter and process orders while keeping customers informed of order progress.
- Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to address product availability and delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives to support customer accounts and sales initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales through additional product recommendations and value-added solutions.
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer documentation, and reporting.
- Monitor sales objectives and proactively follow up on customer opportunities.
- Stay current on product offerings, applications, and industry developments.
- Follow established quality, safety, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of previous inside sales experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Previous experience supporting customers in oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, pulp and paper, water treatment, or wastewater treatment industries preferred.
- Familiarity with liquid level gauges, measurement equipment, gas compression components, or similar industrial products is a plus.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Experience preparing quotations, pricing proposals, and sales estimates.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and communicate detailed pricing information accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional telephone presence and strong active listening abilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales objectives.
- Basic understanding of sales and marketing principles.
