Certified/Registered Medical Assistant

Location: Charlotte, NC

Compensation: $22.00 – $24.00 / Hourly (higher for more experienced candidates)

About the Opportunity

Addison Group is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant for a direct hire opportunity with a highly reputable specialty practice. This role is patient‑facing, offers variety, and provides exposure across multiple providers and clinical workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  • Room patients and assist providers during clinic visits
  • Support in-office procedures and clinical workflows
  • Relay lab results and respond to patient questions via phone
  • Update patient charts, manage documentation, and organize referrals
  • Perform prior authorizations as needed
  • Float between providers and offer coverage where needed
  • Assist with special projects assigned by leadership

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active CMA or RMA credential
  • At least 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience handling patient phone calls
  • Ability to explain procedures, injections, and clinical instructions clearly

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a specialty practice
  • Familiarity with NextGen EMR
