About:
Addison Group is currently leading the search for an AP Accounting Specialist for a rapidly growing manufacturing client in the Twin Cities. They are seeking an individual who is highly experienced in full-cycle accounts payable, GAAP, possesses familiarity with general ledger duties, and demonstrates proficiency in month-end close processes. This is a full-time, onsite role only eligible for local Minnesotan residents to apply and can compensate up to $65K annually dependent on applicable experience.
Responsibilities:
· Receive and process invoices accurately and promptly for received goods and services from vendors and suppliers.
· Confirm invoice accuracy by matching them with purchase orders and receiving documentation.
· Ensure all invoices are correctly coded and approved following company policies and procedures.
· Resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices through communication with vendors and internal departments as necessary.
· Reconcile vendor statements and address any outstanding balances or discrepancies.
· Prepare and execute payments to vendors, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers, within designated timeframes.
· Maintain thorough records of all accounts payable transactions, including organizing and filing invoices and payment documentation.
· Assist with end-of-month closing tasks, including accruals and reconciliations associated with accounts payable.
· Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as procurement and receiving, to ensure smooth and efficient processes related to accounts payable.
· Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes pertinent to accounts payable operations.
· Provide required documentation and assistance for internal and external audits.
· Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements within the accounts payable function.
· Provide exceptional customer service to both internal team members and external vendors, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
· Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management.
