Compensation: $35 – $40 / hour; approximately $80,000 on conversion with flexibility up to $85,000
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities
- Play a hands-on role in the monthly close process and help ensure close activities are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting documentation
- Analyze account balances and investigate financial activity as needed
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities
- Review invoices for accuracy, appropriate coding, and compliance with company policies
- Ensure accounting transactions comply with applicable government contracting requirements
- Apply knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAAP to accounting activities and financial processes
- Support financial reporting and other accounting initiatives as needed
- Work closely with the Controller and Financial Analyst on accounting and finance priorities
- Assist across multiple accounting functions based on business needs
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready financial records
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and operate effectively with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
- Strong general ledger and month-end close experience required
- Government contracting accounting experience required
