What are you most excited about with this new expansion in Washington, D.C.?
I’m most excited to expand into the healthcare division. It’s an incredible opportunity to apply my 11 years of staffing expertise to a rapidly growing, essential industry that truly makes a difference. This move allows me to continue delivering exceptional solutions for clients while challenging myself to grow and develop new skills. After all these years with Addison Group, I love that I can still take bold steps, bet on myself, and make a meaningful impact!

Why staffing and what keeps you coming back?
I love the staffing industry because no two days are ever the same. Each day brings new challenges, new people, and new opportunities to make an impact. Whether it’s helping a client solve a critical hiring need or guiding a candidate toward their next career move, the work is dynamic and rewarding. That constant variety and the chance to build meaningful relationships keep me energized and excited to come to work every day.
What does success look like for you in your role?
Success for me means delivering a job well done that I can truly be proud of and providing exceptional staffing solutions while staying true to who I am. Integrity is at the core of my sales approach, and I believe that building trust and long-term relationships is just as important as hitting goals. When I can achieve results without compromising my values, that’s success.
Why is Addison expanding healthcare solutions into the D.C. market?
Addison Group is expanding our healthcare solutions into the D.C. market because the demand for skilled healthcare professionals is skyrocketing. A predicted 1.9 million roles added annually through 2034 is a clear signal of growth and need. The D.C. metro area is a hub for world-class healthcare organizations, and we see an opportunity to deliver our relationship-driven staffing approach to help these organizations meet critical workforce challenges. By combining our proven expertise with a local presence, we’re positioned to make a real impact where it matters most.
Tell us a little about Emily outside of your professional life. How do you spend your time outside of work?
Outside of work, I’m completely different from the energetic, sales-driven person you see in the office. I love slowing down with a good book, going to the beach or lake, spending time in my garden, and being outdoors whenever I can. Whether it’s tending to plants or enjoying a walk, these moments help me recharge and stay grounded.
What is the biggest career lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest career lesson I’ve learned is that you must be your own biggest supporter and cheerleader. In staffing, and in any sales-driven role, there will always be challenges and moments of doubt. Believing in yourself, celebrating your wins, and pushing forward even when things get tough is what makes the difference. Confidence and resilience start from within, and that mindset has been key to my success.
Any advice you would give to clients?
My biggest advice to clients: move quickly on top talent. In today’s competitive market great candidates don’t stay available for long. Acting decisively not only secures the best people but also shows candidates you value their skills and time. Speed and communication are key to winning the best!
