What are you most excited about with this new expansion in Fort Worth?

On a personal level, I’m excited to make one of my dreams of moving to a new city a reality. While Illinois is my home, the indescribable feeling I felt the first time I visited Texas confirmed that this place is somewhere I can lay roots and call home. Professionally, I’m eager to take the lessons and experiences I’ve learned over the past six years and incorporate them into building our new team in Fort Worth.  These lessons have been instrumental in my growth, and I’m grateful for my accomplishments thus far in my career. It’s no secret understanding the sales side of our business will come with a learning curve, but I have conviction knowing I have all the tools, guidance, and support to succeed. I can’t wait for this next chapter of my life!

What are you most proud of during your journey with Addison Group? How will it help with HR & Administrative hiring in Fort Worth?

I‘m proud and grateful for the investment Addison Group provided in my career development on a personal and professional basis. My team has always been a huge support system and pushed me to be the best version of myself. I promise to bring the same energetic personality, patience, and desire to reach the next level of success my mentors have provided me with. There is incredible potential within the Fort Worth office, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to build relationships and work toward making Fort Worth number one!

What drew you to the profession of being a Branch Manager?

Early in my career, I found my passion for leadership. There is no better feeling than watching a team member grow, succeed, and reach the potential you initially saw in them. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. Reflecting on the past few years, I’m proud to have taught, trained, and retained one of the largest recruitment teams within our division. Every day brought new challenges, requiring me to “get comfortable with the uncomfortable” and the ability to adapt quickly. Those are a few skills required to take on a new branch, and I’m confident I can help this team grow and succeed.

Is there a prior team success story that has stood out to you most?

I’m incredibly fortunate and proud to have witnessed several standout moments of the Schaumburg, IL team. No matter the circumstances, this team continues to bring in the dedication, desire, and motivation to win, leading us to our incredible accomplishments as a branch. This team always brings the energy and positivity that makes this job so fun, and they’ve always persevered during tough times. With that, we’ve been unstoppable. I’ll always be their biggest cheerleader, celebrating each of them for all their accomplishments yet to come. Coming from a standout office like Schaumburg, I’m excited to build and cultivate a similar environment in Fort Worth!

What is the biggest career lesson you’ve learned so far?

Here are the top three greatest lessons I’ve learned: never close the door to learning, always be open to added direction and feedback, and lead every day with conviction and confidence, knowing you’re destined for greatness. These lessons have shaped my career. I learned an expression while working at Addison: ‘The moment that you stop thinking that you can’t learn more is the day that you fail.’ Whether I learned something from a situation or received constructive feedback, I’ve continued to want to learn every day because that’s how you’ll continue to improve and grow. In the process of learning and growing, it’s important to celebrate those wins. Every win, big or small, is always worth celebrating since it moves you toward the goal you want to accomplish.

Laura was born and raised in Illinois and recently moved to Texas to lead our new Fort Worth branch. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Communications and a minor in Marketing. From starting her career at Addison Group, she dove into recruiting, taking any advice and guidance on how to succeed. In 2019, Laura was promoted to Recruiting Manager and has loved building, training, and growing the Schaumburg, IL team. She is overjoyed to have the opportunity to be the new Branch Manager of Addison’s HR & Admin practice in Fort Worth and is ready to enjoy the ride every step of the way.
