Our client is an established manufacturing organization with a large-scale technology environment supporting business operations across the United States. The company is continuing to invest in its Salesforce platform and is adding an experienced technical resource to strengthen platform administration, integrations, automation, and overall Salesforce capabilities.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly technical Senior Salesforce Administrator to join an established Salesforce team. This is a hands-on role requiring considerably more technical depth than a traditional Salesforce Administrator position.
The ideal candidate will have extensive Salesforce Sales Cloud experience and be comfortable troubleshooting complex platform issues, supporting integrations, working with automation, and reviewing Apex and Triggers when necessary. This individual will partner closely with Salesforce Architects, Developers, business stakeholders, and other IT teams to deliver scalable and well-governed solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced administration and technical support for a complex Salesforce environment.
- Configure and enhance Salesforce Sales Cloud to support evolving business requirements.
- Build and maintain automation using Salesforce Flow and other declarative platform capabilities.
- Administer user access and security, including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing configurations, and organization-wide access settings.
- Investigate complex Salesforce issues and review Apex, Triggers, and related code to assist with troubleshooting.
- Support integrations between Salesforce, ERP platforms, and other enterprise applications.
- Partner with Salesforce Architects and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable platform solutions.
- Identify configuration concerns, technical debt, and opportunities to simplify or improve the Salesforce environment.
- Coordinate sandbox environments, deployments, releases, and platform changes.
- Participate in Salesforce governance and change-management activities.
- Work with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and other business groups to understand requirements and improve platform functionality.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and collaborate with development, architecture, data, and integration teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, integrations, and platform changes.
- Support ongoing platform optimization while following established security and architecture standards.
Qualifications:
- Approximately 5–10 years of Salesforce administration or platform experience, with significant hands-on responsibility in complex environments.
- Active Salesforce Administrator certification required.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud.
- Advanced Salesforce configuration skills, including Flow, automation, permissions, security, roles, profiles, and sharing.
- Working knowledge of Apex and Triggers, with the ability to read code and troubleshoot issues; hands-on development experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong experience supporting Salesforce integrations with enterprise and third-party applications.
- Experience partnering with Salesforce Architects and Developers on technical solutions.
- Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex platform and integration issues.
- Experience with Salesforce release management or DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar technologies is preferred.
- ERP integration experience, particularly with SAP or comparable enterprise systems, is highly desirable.
- Experience within manufacturing or another complex enterprise environment is a significant plus.
- Service Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud experience is beneficial.
- Agile or Scrum experience preferred.
- Advanced Salesforce certifications are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
