Addison Group is partnering with our client, a respected organization in the financial services industry, to hire a Document Clerk. This role is a great fit for individuals who enjoy working with detailed records, researching documentation, and ensuring accuracy within a highly regulated environment.
Job Description:
The Document Clerk will be responsible for reviewing and validating loan-related documentation, identifying missing or incomplete records, and assisting with the resolution of documentation issues. This position plays a key role in supporting compliance requirements, quality assurance efforts, and maintaining accurate mortgage servicing records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review electronic loan files to ensure required documents are complete and properly maintained.
- Research and gather key information from imaged records for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Identify missing, inaccurate, or incomplete documentation and assist with corrective actions.
- Support efforts to resolve title and collateral documentation discrepancies.
- Track, document, and maintain records of file reviews, findings, and resolutions.
- Perform quality checks to verify data accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
- Work closely with internal teams to obtain and update necessary documentation.
- Maintain organized records and meet productivity and accuracy goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in document review, mortgage servicing, banking, title, auditing, records management, or administrative support preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of documentation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
