A private research university in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area had multiple openings in its Accounts Payable (AP) department after it was determined that a small group of employees engaged in practices that did not align with legal or ethical standards.
Challenge
The DMV–based private research university was having insider issues with employees in its AP department, which prompted the university to terminate these individuals. Now, the university needed a team to process its AP and help maintain the status quo. The biggest challenge: finding people they could trust, and fast.
Solutions
The client partnered with Addison Group to find qualified and trustworthy AP professionals. Over a six-month period, our team placed a director, two managers, and four specialists with the client. Nearly half of the candidates we placed were referrals from Addison Group contractors placed with the client.
The talent we placed recouped millions of dollars for the client by identifying outstanding and missing purchase orders. Additionally, our partnership allowed the client to ensure their reputation remained intact and maintained smooth internal processes during their transition.
Through an established relationship with Addison Group’s Human Resources and Administrative teams, as well as the exemplary work we did for the client, our Finance and Accounting practice was able to expand our operations to the client’s affiliate hospital. Our team placed a contract Financial Analyst on their corporate finance team to help support them during an acquisition.
